(CNN) — U.S. Rep. Rahm Emanuel will bring a “tough-minded” and “pragmatic” approach to the White House when he becomes President-Elect Barack Obama’s chief of staff, according to people who know the Chicago, Illinois, native.

I’m just gonna come out and say it, I don’t like him. Maybe I’ll have more time to elaborate later but that’s just my gut reaction. I think it’s mostly because he’s part of the Dems upper leadership (along with Reid and Pelosi) and I personally think they haven’t been doing a good job at all.

Hey, just because I like Obama doesn’t mean I’ll be any less critical of him as I was the Bush Administration.
