US Army Major Says Obama Isn’t President

Written by Homer_J. Posted at 12:35 pm on July 15th, 2009

Therefore he shouldn’t have to deploy as ordered. What a whackjob:

U.S. Army Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook, set to deploy to Afghanistan, says he shouldn’t have to go.

His reason?

Barack Obama was never eligible to be president because he wasn’t born in the United States.

Cook’s lawyer, Orly Taitz, who has also challenged the legitimacy of Obama’s presidency in other courts, filed a request last week in federal court seeking a temporary restraining order and status as a conscientious objector for her client.

In the 20-page document — filed July 8 with the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia — the California-based Taitz asks the court to consider granting his client’s request based upon Cook’s belief that Obama is not a natural-born citizen of the United States and is therefore ineligible to serve as commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Slander against the President in a time of war? Say it ain’t so!! I can’t wait to hear what Limbaugh and Hannity have to say about this treasonous bastard!

It would be useful, and good investigative journalism, to find out from Major Cook on what date he received notice that he was no longer being asked to serve in Afghanistan and whether it was by telephone or a letter sent by snail mail, or whatever.

The date of the filing of the suit by Cook was July 9 (I have it at the 9th, though you say the 8th), which was last Thursday (or it could be Wednesday), and the earliest stories saying that he was no longer being asked to go were last night.

That is six days, but two of them were weekend days. It is unlikely that the Army could have decided to make a change from “go to Afghanistan” to “don’t go to Afghanistan” in only four days. It just doesn’t work that fast.

And besides, Cook volunteered to go to Afghanistan in the first place. On May 8, meaning that he volunteered to serve in Afghanistan while Obama was president. http://www.newspapersites.net/newspaper/columbus-ledger-enquirer-1.asp

  2. The whole “President isnt a citizen” thing is such a cop-out anyway. If he had just said he was a conscientious objector only that would be more credible and respectable a position. Then to throw that hogwash on top of it is just insulting. I can’t even believe his lawyer is all gun ho about it too.
